Oak Valley Road/Old Manchaca Road Waterline Rehabilitation

Mr. Thompson served as the City of Austin Project Manager on the $500K project to upgrade the existing water facilities along Oak Valley Road to improve both fire safety and domestic water service. Work included the design, permitting, and installation of 900 linear feet of new 8-inch waterline along the south side of Oak Valley Road from Old Manchaca Road to the east terminus of Oak Valley Road.

In addition, the existing 2-inch water line in Old Manchaca Road, between Drew Lane and Sanders Street, was replaced with 700 linear feet of 8-inch water line. The installation of these lines significantly improved the service, safety, and reliability of the water system for the residents and businesses in the area.
