Mr. Thompson served as the project manager for the project to provide storm-water runoff detention for the 15 acre proposed drying bed facility. The drying bed facility is used to compost wastewater treatment sludge and produce “Dillo Dirt”. The project required complete containment of the City of Austin 100-year storm event as well as specialized outlet structure controls to allow isolation of the drainage area runoff volumes and to provide screening capabilities to prevent damage to pumps located downstream of the detention facility.
